Breaded and fried fish served with chips (thickly cut French fries).
It is a popular food loved by many people around the world. Here are some of our favorite fish and chips recipes.
material:
- 4 large white fish fillets (such as cod or haddock)
- 1 1/2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
- 1 1/4 cups cold water
・Vegetable oil for frying
- 4 large potatoes, peeled and cut into thick slices.
- salty to taste
- malt vinegar for serving
- Enjoy with tartar sauce or ketchup
Procedure:
1. . Gradually add cold water and stir until a smooth dough forms.
2. Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large deep pan to approximately 180°C. There should be enough oil to completely submerge the fish fillets.
3. Dip the fish fillets into the batter so that they are completely covered. Drain excess dough.
4. Gently place the breaded fish fillets into the hot oil and fry for about 6 to 8 minutes or until golden and crisp.
Bake the fillet in batches to prevent the bread from getting too hard.
After cooking, transfer the fried fish to a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
5. Rinse potato slices in cold water to remove excess starch. Pat dry with a paper towel.
6. Place the batch of potato chips in the same hot oil used to fry the fish and fry for about 4-5 minutes or until golden and crisp. Transfer cooked chips to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil. Sprinkle with salt while hot.
7.Serve together while the fish and chips are hot. Serve with malt vinegar, tartar sauce and ketchup.
